Raji is Yoga Synthesis' Program Director. Since the program's beginning in 1999, Yoga Synthesis Teacher Training has graduated hundreds of students who have gone on to acquire certifications. He has certification as a yoga therapist from the International Association of Yoga Therapists (CIAYT). He is registered with Yoga Alliance as the organization's lead trainer and continuing education provider.
He has completed teacher training at The Colorado Yoga Institute with Dharma Mittra in Shivananda Yoga/Dharma Yoga, Aadil Palkivala and others in Iyengar Yoga, Gary Kraftsow and Fran Ubertini in Krishnamacharya Yoga, John Friend in Anusara Yoga, Ravi Singh, and others in Kundalini Yoga, and Glenn Black at the Omega Institute are just some of the prominent Hatha Yoga teachers with whom He has completed teacher training at The Colorado Yoga Institute,
The White Lotus Foundation (with Ganga White and Tracy Rich), the original Yoga Works in Santa Monica (with Maty Ezraty, Chuck Miller, and others), the Santa Barbara Yoga Center (with Erich Schiffmann), and the Bellevue, Washington, Yoga Centers (with Aadil Palkivala). Raji's driving interest is in fusing various yoga approaches and philosophies, which enables him to more freely express his creativity and participate in an uninhibited inquiry into the heart and soul of the practice. From dynamic flowing movement to passive poses and active holds with alignment and props, his depth of knowledge of various techniques and their creative combination has led to him being known throughout the area as a leader in innovative and creatively inspired Hatha Yoga. In addition to this, he has assisted a large number of patients in recovering from a variety of conditions using therapeutic applications of Yoga. In the realms of breath, energy awareness, and meditation, Raji uses his creative spirit via continuous practice and study in various meditative traditions, most notably Tibetan Buddhism. His focus is on developing an awareness of the flow of energy. His experiences and expertise culminated in Yoga Synthesis, which he called after the practice. Raji is Yoga Synthesis' Program Director. An experienced Vinyasa and Ashtanga teacher in all of New Jersey, Raji is famous for the innovative and engaging lessons he teaches.

Online courses haven't changed. As they approach the summer, they want to increase the number of in-person classes they offer. Even though they have eliminated the need for everyone to wear masks, you are more than free to do so if doing so makes you feel more at ease. Even though they have completed all the yoga props in the studio accessible again, they still highly recommend you bring your mat.

Gentle/Restorative Yoga
A mild and peaceful lesson integrates yogic breathing, meditative awareness, gentle movements that lead into passive-releasing positions, and supported poses. These courses are suitable for anybody who need or prefers a kinder, softer approach to Yoga and are ideal for anyone who needs it.
Gentle/Basic and Basic (Level 1) Yoga
A class moves at a leisurely pace and incorporates yogic breathing, basic motions such as basic stepping-style Sun Salutations, standing poses, balancing poses, and other classical components of postural practice. This workshop is for beginners. Yoga and those who want less strenuous training. It is possible to achieve better alignment and more comfort in the postures with various props and adjustments. The Gentle/Basic practice includes a more significant number of restorative poses.
All Levels Flow Yoga
The All Levels Flow class aims to ease students into more physically demanding sessions by emphasizing essential yoga fitness for improved coordination, strength, and flexibility. They assist in establishing a foundation for progress for less experienced students while providing more experienced students with additional, more robust possibilities.
Flow (Level 1-2) Yoga
Classes in the Flow 1 and 2 series include moderate-to-more challenging postural techniques, including flowing movement with some possibilities for jumping-style exercises. Sun Salutations and other postures to build strength and flexibility in preparation for more advanced practice. Those prepared to go to the next level of their training will integrate flowing postural sets, backbends, and some inversions into their routine. Previous expertise with Yoga is highly encouraged.
Vinyasa (Level 2 & Level 2–3) Yoga
Vinyasa programs emphasize more dynamic postural practices, including choices for stronger jumping-style Sun Salutations and standing posture sequences. Vinyasa was developed by B.K.S. Iyengar. Throughout this course, you will practice arm balances, deeper backbends, and inversions. Previous experience is highly appreciated but not required!
Guided Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Hatha Yoga is practiced in the vinyasa style and taught by Sri Pattabhi Jois in the city of Mysore in India. This class is a guided version of Ashtanga's First Series, which consists of a predetermined sequence of poses synced with breath and consistently performed in the same order. The practice begins with leaping Sun Salutations and finishes with backbends and inversions.
